Book recs sought
I’d love your input. If you could only take three books with you, which would you choose?
Keep in mind the purpose of the books is relaxation and escapism, so great reads tho they be, no Shakespeare, Rumi or Trungpa please. I’m looking for escapist fiction of the highest order, anything from Stephen King to Ken Follet. Even a good biography, like “a million little pieces” has potential. I’ve already read Shantaram. If you haven’t, do.
Hmmm, in the tradition of some of my closest online friendships, maybe I’ll start a list of books to read. But that comes later. I only figured out how to add a blogroll a few hours ago.
First off, why 3 books? Is that a Ukraine rule or a husband schlepping the luggage rule? As a new mom of 2, I don’t read anymore, at least not for fun. You’ll see what I mean. Have you read Parenting the Internationally Adopted Child? I wish I had read it before I brought Alex home. If you haven’t read it let me know and I’ll send you a copy. I know you’ve been through this before, but of course each child is different. Can’t wait to meet my new niece!
3 books is the Golden Rule to maintaining a relationship.
Well, with one child I’ve been able to read. Isn’t that what TV’s for?
No, haven’t read it. I think I wrote it.
